How it works

The process is in two parts.

Firstly WebStart Design obtains the latest currency rates each night from a major bank and stores this information ready for your web visitors to request. This is an automated process that has proven quite reliable.

Secondly, your web site will contain a page like the top half of this page. Here the visitors to your web site can choose their preferred 2nd currency. This page communicates with the WebStart Design site to retrieve the required currency conversion factor. This happens only once when the visitor chooses a currency so as to eliminate any speed impact to your web site. Your web pages, shopping cart or product catalogue can then utilise this to display the 2nd currency throughout your site.

Convenience

If you intend to export your products, you will find many overseas customers will appreciate the convenience of dual currency pricing without the need to use separate currency conversion calculators.
